The Water Care Plumbing sand filter filtration unit draws a percentage of the cooling water either from the basin or balance line between the cooling towers, filters out the sediment & returns the filter water either via eductor nozzles in the cooling tower basin or back into main condenser line.

Sizing of a filtration unit should be calculated by dividing the total system volume of cooling tower circuit by 60 (for one hour turnover rate). This will give the filter flow rate in litres per minute.
